GULFPORT, Miss. – November 8, 2013 – GodwinGroup, a Gulf Coast and Jackson-based marketing and advertising firm, recently promoted Kami Wert to General Manager of Godwin Gulf Coast.
Wert, a resident of Gulfport, currently is an agency partner, senior vice president and member of the agency’s executive management team. GodwinGroup formed Godwin Gulf Coast in 1992 as an operating unit to serve the gulf region.
“Kami has demonstrated leadership within our firm while working with clientele across the Gulf Coast region,” said Philip Shirley, GodwinGroup chairman and chief executive officer. “She provides strategic marketing support to our Gulf Coast clients, bringing knowledge and enthusiasm to the process.”
As General Manager, Wert will be manager of all operations of the Gulfport office. She also will work closely with clients to develop an effective strategy that meets their marketing objectives, as well as remain actively involved in Gulf Coast business and community development.
She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication. Wert joined the agency in 1997.
Wert and her family are members of Trinity Methodist Church, and she is active in the Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport and the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf coast alumni chapter.
