GodwinGroup Unveils “Mississippi Makes It” Video to SEUS-Japan

GodwinGroup recently teamed with the Mississippi Development Authority to produce a video showcasing the state’s assets to an international audience at the joint meeting of the Southeast US-Japan (SEUS-Japan) and the Japan-US Southeast Associations. The event, hosted by the State of Mississippi, was held at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi and attracted approximately 400 business leaders, including 80 from Japan.

The fast-paced, dynamic, 3-minute, 30-second video carried the theme “Mississippi Makes It” and featured more than 80 clips telling the story of Mississippi’s transformation from the birthplace of America’s music into a vibrant setting for global commerce. The video showcased the unique culture and economic development opportunities throughout the state. The end result was a video that demonstrates Mississippi is a great place to do business, live and visit with a final message of “You Can Make It in Mississippi.”

“Our goal was for the video to welcome our visitors and let them know that Mississippi has endless possibilities,” said Stacye Rinehart, Godwin Senior Vice President and Group Creative Director. “We are a state where people work hard, play hard and enjoy life.”

The video — which included Japanese subtitles — kicked off the three-day meeting.

The SEUS/Japan Association promotes trade, investment, understanding and friendship between Japan and seven Southeastern U.S. states, and delegates are from both private and public sectors. This was the association’s 36th annual meeting.
