GodwinGroup Wins Three Awards at National Utility Communicators Conference

Agency recognized for print, radio, and online media campaigns

JACKSON, Miss. (June 28, 2012)GodwinGroup, an integrated marketing, advertising, and digital communications firm, and Mississippi Power, were recently recognized at the Utility Communicators International 2012 Annual Conference and 88th Annual Better Communications Competition  Awards Gala in Denver, Colo.  The agency captured three awards for work in Print Advertising, Radio, and Online Media.

In the category of “Print Advertising: Image or Branding,” GodwinGroup took home first place for their Freedom Riders Reunion ad, which ran in the 50th Anniversary Freedom Riders Reunion Souvenir Book.  The ad also won a Gold ADDY® award earlier this year at the American Advertising Federation Mississippi Gulf Coast ADDY® Awards.

The agency also took home first place honors for a unique multimedia and digital campaign developed to promote energy efficiency with Mississippi Power customers.   In addition, Godwin won second place in “Online Media” for its 15-second pre-roll video which gives viewers a quick energy efficiency tip before online news clips in Mississippi Power markets.
