Since its founding in 1937 in Jackson, Mississippi, GodwinGroup has served clients on the Gulf Coast, and in 1992, to better serve our strong and dedicated clientele along the Coast, the agency established operations in Gulfport. After purchasing a local agency in 1998, the branch moved from Gulfport to Biloxi. And just in time to celebrate next year’s 20th anniversary, Godwin Gulf Coast returns to Gulfport.
This year, Godwin Gulf Coast moved into downtown Gulfport, into the Aubert Motor Company building, which was built in the early 1900s. Once home to a thriving auto business, the Aubert Building was renovated by the Vaughn, Bowden, & Wooten law firm after Hurricane Katrina into a mixed-use building.
Agency employees love the new space which is full of sunlight and has an open space combined with more private offices. “All of us in the Godwin Gulf Coast office are so excited about our new ‘home’ in downtown Gulfport,” said Kay Maghan, GodwinGroup senior public relations manager. “The location is ideal to be close to some of our key clients, which allows us to provide even better service. Plus, the new space has an inviting and hip vibe that fits what Godwin is all about.”
