Recent Change to Google Search Algorithm

For those that don’t follow SEO too closely, Google recently made another change to their algorithm in determining search results—to effectively weed out content posted on sites that either duplicates content published in other locations or is “not very helpful.” Basically, it’s content sites use to attempt to game Google’s systems, and Google wants none of it. In fact, according to Google, 12% of all searches will be impacted by this change, and that’s a BIG number.

The Wall Street Journal has a great article on it, and it’s worth the read. If you’re doing this sort of thing on your own site now (you really shouldn’t be), you might notice a results hit soon, if not already.
