What’s Your Device?

This chart from MarketingCharts.com (results of a Pew study) illustrates how segmented we are when it comes to the devices we use. This is important when considering demographic variables and usage patterns of smartphones, tablets, computers, game consoles and MP3 players. Taking smartphones as an example, overall ownership is at 68%, but there are notable variances in age and whether someone lives in urban or remote areas. That’s good to know if your target is rural, older and low-income audiences.
