GodwinGroup Wins Best of Show for Tourism Website
Agency also captures four gold, five silver ADDYs in local competition.
Jackson, Miss. (February 23, 2012) – GodwinGroup, an integrated marketing, advertising and digital communications firm, won Best of Show in Interactive at The American Advertising Federation’s local ADDY® Awards for the Jackson chapter. The agency received top honors for its website design for Great American Steamboat Company, a Memphis-based firm specializing in luxury steamboat voyages on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers.
GodwinGroup, which has offices in both Jackson and Gulfport, has been providing branding and launch support for Great American Steamboat Company since it began business operations last year. The campaign included designing a fully integrated website with a look and feel consistent with the organization’s overall brand identity. Since the launch of its website, Great American Steamboat Company reports sold out voyages through December 2012. The company will launch its maiden voyage in April of this year.
“Our organization has been very impressed by the level of professionalism and quality of work GodwinGroup has provided, in addition to the speed and elegance with which everything has been completed,” said Tim Rubacky, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Development for Great American Steamboat Company. “Having a strong Web presence is a key component to creating a brand identity and tourism marketing campaign that tells our story.”
In addition to Best of Show in Interactive, GodwinGroup also gained a gold award for its video tribute to former first lady Marsha Barbour, which was presented during the First Responders Academy in Biloxi. It also took home gold ADDYs for clients Baptist Healthcare Systems and Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC, in addition to five silver ADDYs. The agency will go on to compete in the regional competition in Nashville, Tenn., in April.
