Firm to donate $150K in Pro Bono Work

Jackson, Miss. (February 24, 2012) – GodwinGroup, an integrated marketing, advertising and digital communications firm, has announced that it will donate $150,000 in pro bono work to selected non-profit and educational institutions in Mississippi over the next 12 months. The news kicks off the 75th anniversary celebration for the agency, the largest and oldest advertising agency in the state of Mississippi and one of the oldest in the Southeast.

“This is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the state that has been our home for the last seven decades,” said Philip Shirley, chairman and CEO of GodwinGroup. “Godwin is committed to continuing our support of Mississippi’s economic development, as well as being committed to the downtown Jackson business district.”

The sum represents $2,000 for each year the agency has been in business. Work has already begun for two organizations. GodwinGroup this month produced a fund-raising packet for the Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA. The agency also agreed to donate 100 hours of marketing work to Infinity, a state-of-the-art science center projected to open in 2012.
