Tourism Partnership Selects PR Firm

GULFPORT – The Gulf Coast Regional Tourism Partnership has selected GodwinGroup to handle advertising, marketing and public relations for the three-county tourism organization.

GodwinGroup created The Tri.Ad, in affiliation with Ad.In Advertising in Ocean Springs and AdLib Communications in Bay St. Louis to work together with GodwinGroup’s Gulf Coast and Jackson offices.

The partnership’s grant funding committee reviewed about 30 grant requests for 2011 and approved $400,000, primarily to fund out-of-market advertising to draw new tourists and market the golf industry. The partnership is now accepting applications for 2012 grant funding at www.VisitMSCoast.org and is especially interested in helping develop new events.
